This year, nine states (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Utah) have launched an unprecedented attack on reproductive rights in America.
Addressing a Planned Parenthood rally on Wednesday, WAVE founder Joanna Weiss told the crowd, “We’re here to say enough is enough with these abortion bans. These bans impose arbitrary timeframes on abortion access and extreme sentences for doctors to unravel Roe v. Wade, even in cases of rape or incest. These bans are as appalling as they are illegal. Access to healthcare is at the heart of women’s rights, and WAVE is proud to defend it.”
