WAVE CONGRATULATES KAMALA HARRIS ON HER NOMINATION AS JOE BIDEN’S VP RUNNING MATE

Orange County, 11 August 2020 — This afternoon, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, announced his selection of Kamala Harris as his running mate and our next Vice President! As an organization founded by women and created for women, WAVE applauds this choice and celebrates the fact that we will finally see the first woman, and a woman of color, nonetheless, in the White House. This comes at an opportune time as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, a historical milestone achieved by the women before us who broke barriers and secured women’s right to vote. Senator Harris as our next Vice President brings us one step closer to shattering the glass ceiling in politics.
