Wave Endorses Katrina Foley for Orange County Board of Supervisors

Orange County, CA (January 7, 2021) — Women for American Values and Ethics Political Action Committee (WAVE PAC) is excited to endorse Mayor Katrina Foley for Orange County’s Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors holds immense regional power over the county with direct influence on OC residents’ lives. The board establishes and implements policy, approves and appropriates multi-billion dollar budgets, and appoints local executives from Chief Engineer to Director of Child Support Services to Health Officer. Mayor Foley is capable and ready. Her experience includes 12 years on Costa Mesa City Council, serving as mayor of Costa Mesa since 2016, sitting on the Newport Mesa Unified School District Board of Trustees from November 2010 to 2014, and years on various local and regional boards. Mayor Foley will support science and doctors for a genuine response to manage the Covid-19 crisis and stress advocating for an equitable healthcare system, both things our current board has failed to do. Her priorities highlight addressing homelessness, providing affordable housing, fighting climate change, investing in accessible education, upholding equality and justice. We need a Board of Supervisors who will fight for the people of Orange County and promote progress for our county, and WAVE supports Mayor Katrina Foley to do this.

WAVE Founder and President Joanna Weiss, “Mayor Katrina Foley is the tough and tested fighter we need as the next Orange County Supervisor. She is the best candidate to win this race, and more importantly she has the right experience and values to effectively lead our communities during this difficult time. WAVE stands behind her campaign, and we urge everyone to join us in supporting Katrina Foley for Supervisor.”
