Learn How Redrawing the Lines Impacts Our State, County and Community
Every 10 years, after a census report is released, a special commission is selected to examine how the population of our state has shifted and how that shift alters the current Congressional seats and state and local government districts. Over time, districts become uneven in size and redistricting (redrawing) is necessary to make the districts proportional again.
Join us on Thursday, May 20th at 7:00 P.M for a special educational meeting with California Redistricting Commissioner, Sara Sadhwani, PhD.
WAVE is honored to have Commissioner Sadhwani personally present to us, the redistricting process, explaining how and why California draws the lines.
