CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Your support of MAKE WAVES WITH CHELSEA HANDLER, SPECIAL GUESTS CONGRESSMEMBERS KAREN BASS AND TED LIEU is your opportunity to raise your voice and participate in a more meaningful way. With the funds raised, WAVE will register new voters, conduct outreach to immigrant and student communities, develop voter education materials, and mobilize voters in our four targeted congressional districts within Orange County. The current representatives do not support progressive American values and ethics, and consistently vote against protecting the environment, civil rights for immigrants and the LGBTQ community, women’s issues, and gun safety.
Students at San Juan Hills High School have organized a Candidate Forum for Students of the 49th. All of the candidates who are running in the 49th District for the House of Representatives will be there. The Forum will be in the School Theater from 4:00-6:00. Admission is free, and priority is given to students who will vote this year.
WAVE has been invited to do voter registration at the event. If you want to help register students please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
WAVE and the OC Labor Federation are co-sponsoring a Cinco de Mayo Immigration Forum in Anaheim. WAVE has never held an immigration forum or clinic in that part of the county before so this should be exciting. Details TBA. Questions? Interested in volunteering? Please email email@example.com.
Action Network's Commit-to-Vote and Get Out The Vote in San Juan Capistrano. Spanish speakers needed but they welcome all volunteers. Click here for more details.
We need all the ground troops as possible including out of district.
